About Premium Memberships

We're now offering our users the option of becoming Premium Members. While your basic membership gives you access to our entire map collection, by becoming a Premium Member you will:

(1) Have access to our automated map making scripts* as well as tools, tutorials, and online help that will guide you through the process of making your own maps including:

• A series of our own scripts which automate the production of several types of Vector (compatible with eXplorists, Tritons, and CrossOvers) and Raster Maps (compatible with Tritons). These maps include 1:50K CANVEC, TOPORAMA and CANIMAGE as well as CANMATRIX 1:50K and 1:250K. Using these, you just type the map number and click your mouse a few times and you'll have a map. Scripts are well documented online with detailed instructions on how to configure and use them;
• Online tutorials dealing with how to make raster maps from data drawn from Google, Yahoo, MSN, and other online sources of data and on how to manually create raster maps from scratch using images and coordinates;
• Detailed step by step tutorials showing you how to make Vector NTDB Maps using a manual process;
• All necessary third party software required by our scripts is included (all applications are either freeware or released under the GPL or similar licence); and
• Private help and discussion forums.

(2) Be able to contribute certian types of maps to the Project as you make them. In addition to being able to make maps for your own use, our scripts used to create TOPORAMA and CANVEC maps automatically adds the maps you create to our collection so they can be shared with others. You will have access to another script that will allow you to download map files in bulk.

(3) Support further development of the project. Your ten dollar donation will help us cover our hosting and bandwidth costs which will allow us to continue providing maps to anyone who wants to use them for free.
